Here are four points to help you get started:
1. Decide on who you want to incentivise and what you want them to achieve. Are you looking to increase sales, improve customer loyalty?
2. Then work out your available budget. Make sure you have the resources to run and measure the scheme. If you don't record it, you can't report it.
3. Select the reward that best suits your employees. One size definitely won't fit all – so make sure the reward you choose has the key element – CHOICE!
4. How long are you going to run the scheme – will it be a short-term or a long-term offer? Regular motivational rewards work well to boost morale and go a long way to achieving your long term objectives.
